Jessica Singh, MD
Founder & CEO
Jessica Singh, MD, NBC-HWC, ACC is a Yale-trained emergency medicine physician who completed the first Physician Wellness Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She developed expertise in the science and administration of physician wellness, with emphasis on the shared responsibility between physicians and organizations to enhance professional fulfillment and mitigate burnout. An avid speaker, Dr. Singh has presented on healthcare provider burnout, physician wellness, lifestyle therapies, yoga, Ayurveda, and mind-body medicine at numerous events and organizations.
Dr. Singh’s experiences with life and death in caring for patients and interactions with her fellow colleagues inspired her to transition careers and create Sukhayu Wellness after completing fellowship. Sukh means peace and joy, and ayu means life in the Sanskrit language. Sukhayu Wellness is a wellness practice formed with the mission of helping others - individuals, organizations and communities – to nurture health and well-being, enhance fulfillment, and nurture humanity.
Sukh means peace and joy, and ayu means life in the Sanskrit language.
Dr. Singh promotes health and wellness as an educator, consultant, holistic coach, and teaches yoga, Interactive Guided Imagery℠, Ayurveda, and mind-body medicine.
Dr. Singh’s transformational journey progressed when she sought to enhance her well-being after completing physician specialty training in emergency medicine. She was blessed to discover the Inner Engineering Program by Sadhguru, which inspired and uplifted her, and reinforced the need to take responsibility for making herself a better person as the first step towards contributing to society. She gained a deeper appreciation for life and natural intelligence. She then completed a yoga teacher training course at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas that profoundly deepened her understanding of life, health, and healing. The philosophy of yoga was taught in the lineage of Swami Sivananda. The Yoga Teacher Training program was developed by his disciple Swami Vishnudevananda to enhance world peace, one person at a time, by creating responsible world citizens and leaders through yogic disciplines.
Dr. Singh’s consulting work focuses on helping healthcare organizations and providers. As her knowledge expanded via mentors and networking and as a coach herself, Dr. Singh sought to help a wider audience. She wanted to share the knowledge base she was building at Sukhayu Wellness, as well as support health and wellness coaches through advocacy, credibility, and professionalism. Health and wellness coaches have an important, growing role in the healthcare system, bridging many gaps and helping countless individuals on their health and wellness journeys.
Dr. Singh created the Center for Health and Wellness Coaches to help facilitate the sharing of best practices, cultivate community, and provide support networks and evidence-based knowledge for health and wellness coaches and to support coaches through their certification and professional journeys.

BLESSINGS & GRATITUDE
There are no words to express my gratitude and love for the Creator bestowing the beautiful gift of this extraordinary life.
Thank you to my family, especially my parents, Dr. Kanwal Jit Kaur and Dr. Prithi Pal Singh, for teaching me to acknowledge the precious gift of life, to imbibe the values of honesty and hard work, to live joyfully with integrity, and to be in constant remembrance of Eternal Truths.
Thank you to my husband for your kindness, compassion, and patience.
Thank you to my brother for inspiring me to follow my dreams.
Thank you to all my teachers and everyone else for enriching my experiences of life.
The blessings of formerly serving as a physician – of witnessing humanity firsthand and serving others – are the most beautiful gifts of my life.
