Health is a living relationship, a balance…

“How do you define health? As a student pursuing a career in medicine, I often found this answer rooted in symptoms and observable values that you treat to meet some “standard,” without really thinking about why those issues existed in the first place.

What Dr. Singh has taught me is that health is a living relationship, a balance between mind and body whose underpinnings must be explored in ways that go beyond our current conceptions and interactions. A person isn’t a sum of illness at a given time, but rather the product of  lifestyle and experiences that shape their awareness and synergy with health and society.

The one-on-one educational and coaching interactions have given me skills to challenge traditional thinking of health and medicine in ways that allow one to dig deeper and adjust processes that don’t provide comfort just in the moment, but over a lifetime.

This experience has not only expanded my perspective of the world around me and the patients whose lives I hope to benefit, but also understand myself and better advocate for my own personal health and wellbeing.“
